RITE AID CHAT THREAD

This thread is being created for us to come and talk/chat. The Rite Aid Deals thread is for the deal talk. So hopefully this thread will help decrease the off topic chatter in the deals thread and we all have a place to chat with each other. nod

Wanted to add that this chat group will follow the same rules of the Lounge. Rules are located here: http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?sduid=0&t=1091306

OAN, does anyone here use a MacBook Pro? I'm getting so tired of my laptop with Windows Vista (worst OS evah) and I sooooo love my Mac Mini desktop. I'm watching for a deal and found good prices on the 15.4" and 17", all else being equal. I'm thinking the smaller one is much lighter and more portable, and really not that much smaller of a screen. I hate carting around my 17" Gateway. Thoughts?

I too rarely read the Wiki. I actually probably put q's or something in the Wiki more often than I read it.

I like to take notes as things come up, clip the coupons, etc.

------

My most random-est of product reviews EVER:

I have a cold and saw 2 samples of Kleenex Cool Touch in my storeroom. Wow! These are so cool. They felt so good on my nose.

See, this is the sort of thing that I would NEVER thought to buy, unless I had been given a sample or freebie. Then they hook me in. Which just goes to show that manufacturers know exactly what they're doing with giving us free stuff. I get sucked in so many times.
My DH is so weird. He hates the Cool Touch. When he was sick last week, I caught him using a paper towel when there was a box of Cool Touch right next to him. He says his nose doesn't feel clean after he using the Cool Touch. I had to go in the stockpile for a regular box of Kleenex for the big baby.

I am still sick and I am about tired of it. I haven't shopped all week and I don't really care except that the stupid Nasal thing coupons were actually purchased and they will probably go to waste.

Of course, I have been busy online............here and there, mostly there. Wink

I didn't even know we had a new thread here, but it doesn't look like I am missing much chat. laugh out loud

There's were some interesting posts.

Here's a recap;

Sportsdoll's daughter has a yeast infection.
There was a suggestion of freezing yogurt in gloves and inserting said frozen yogurt in appropriate place
Sportsdoll's hubby said that would be a nice snack EEK!

Other than that..........it's been a ghost town.

Hmmm. I can print Bricks from my Mac Mini if I use Safari and the moon is in the right phase and I don't blink. And I can't get my Gateway to send to the wireless printer anyway. So I'm kind of used to that problem!

Well, I'm glad my recap was informational. Boop needed a recap and there just hasn't been much going on here.

Boop- Sorry you still don't feel well. Frown

It doesn't sound like there will be anyone around in the wee hours, again. Frown

I know nothing about Macs but I hate Vista. On the laptop we have whatever the next version of Windows is, and it's much better.

This house didn't care for the cool touch, either. When I'm sick I don't want anything to be cold. shake head

So sorry you're still not feeling well! hug Hopefully it will be better when you wake up today....

So, yesterday I went to a RA that I haven't been to in months. As I drove by, I saw a new --- WALGREENS!!!!!! OMG So now there's one 25 minutes away, not 45, and it's near a RA and CVS and the 2 grocery chains. This could spell trouble. Because I didn't really get the hang of Wags. The only time I was really successful was when they had Bayer meters for $10 giving $10 RR and we had $10 mfr Qs, and they also had Joint Juice for $10 giving $10 RR, so rolling was super easy and I stocked up on things that I use and a friend uses. But of course, any time I tried to do something more complicated it got ugly. Hide

I have a question - you know all these rebates that are now coming in the form of a prepaid card like the P&G deals. When I get down to $1.25 or something, do I have to know the value and then tell the cashier to charge that specific amount to the card? or can I just scan the card and it will take of the value that is remaining on the card (like it does for a gift card)? I heard that it works for AMEX pre-paid cards and am wondering if it does for P&G visa/mastercard ones. I seriously have 3 cards that only have $1.xx value on it taking up WAY too much room in my wallet. I want to get rid of them and the balances on them.

IIRC, you had to tell the cashier what to input on those cards. Real PITA, I agree.
