SHOPPING AT KMART FAQ

SYWR Card = Shop Your Way Rewards Card. A KMart Savings Card that you must sign up for if you want to take advantage of deals here! Earn 10 points for every dollar you spend. You can redeem the points at a rate of 1,000 points = $1. Points can be redeemed at KMart, Sears, and Lands End. You must have an email address on your account to earn bonus offers - if you do not have an email address, you will typically only earn base points (no bonuses). It is definitely worthwhile to use a valid email address to receive special email promotions; some are quite generous. As a bonus-level member, you're eligible for additional Bonus Offers and other perks and rewards. Your SYWR card will be suspended if you do multiple back-to-back transactions (this number changes regularly but you're usually safe at around 5 transactions) on the same register and with the same cashier. If you plan on doing more than a few transactions, it's best to do a few with one cashier at one register and a few with a different cashier at a different register - even if you have to go to the service desk. This is a security feature designed to prevent cashiers from using a member's account to rack up points and then redeem them for their own benefit. If your card is suspended, you will still earn points for your purchases, but you cannot redeem them until the suspension has been lifted. To have the suspense lifted, contact SYWR Customer Service, call 1.800.991.8708, Monday - Sunday, 8 am - 11 pm, Central Standard Time.



SYWR VIP Levels = The SYWR Card offers several VIP levels based on your annual spend (calcuated before coupons!). Each level comes with different "benefits".

Bonus Member: $0 to $2499.99 annual spend at KMart, Sears, or Lands End (with email address on account)

Silver VIP Level: $2500 to $4999.99 annual spend at KMart, Sears, or Lands End.

SYWR BONUS POINTS OFFERS =
You must have an email address on your account to earn bonus offers
KMart runs deals weekly strictly for SYWR members, and often times those offers include earning bonus points on certain purchases. These offers can be confusing, but if you follow the guidelines below, everything should work in your favor. If an offer states "Recieve a COUPON for $X (X points) when you spend $X on ____", KMart counts the amount towards this threshold BEFORE any coupons are used. However, if the offer simply states "Recieve XX bonus points ($X value) when you spend $X on ____" then KMart requires you to spend the necessary amount AFTER coupons are redeemed. Clear as mud, right? Just remember if you see the word COUPON, it means total BEFORE Qs.

CRT = Cash Register Tape Coupon. Prints after reciept. Usually a $/$ that you can roll into the next transaction. Generally speaking P&G CRT's are the only ones that do not roll. You can only redeem one CRT per transaction. Redeeming a CRT does not negate another CRT from printing.

CAT = Catalina (Red/White Coupon). Comes from the Catalina machine at the end of your purchase. Always make sure the Catalina machine is on, and note that the Customer Service Desks DO NOT have these machines. As long as a CAT says MFR COUPON at the top, you should be able to redeem along with a CRT. If the CAT says STORE COUPON, you can NOT combine with a CRT in the same transaction.

CSP= Check Shelf Price. When an item scans CSP, the item should be 50%-90% off. For more info read Kmart 101 by adawn80

SUPER COUPONS= KMart issues "Super Coupons" in both their weekly and monthly ads. In order to use the Super Coupons, you must use your SYWR Card.

Weekly Super Coupons: Limits are stated in each Q, and the Q will either be for a specific price, or take off a specific dollar amount for each item that attaches to the coupon. For example, if the coupon is for $1 off a widget, limit 5, when your card is scanned, your total will be reduced by $5 if you are buying 5 widgets.

Monthly Super Coupons: You must spend $25 in grocery, health or beauty care to use. Total is calculated before manufacture's coupons, but after Kmart Store coupons. The item you are using the coupon on does NOT count toward the $25 total. All monthly super coupons are a limit of 1 per transaction, however you can do multiple transactions and use additional coupons, as long as you meet the $25 threshold for each transaction.
