Welcome to the New Main Kmart Deals Thread!!

Shopping at KMart can be an adventure! Even if you're a seasoned couponer, KMart still can be quite a learning curve. Please take a moment to read the FAQ. Most repeated questions that are asked in the thread, can be found below
.

Thanks to Serra, we now have 4 Wikis for the KMart thread, which will hopefully make the information a lot easier to navigate.

This is Wiki #1, and it will give you a quick tutorial on shopping at KMart. Wiki #2 will contain the latest highlights & matchups for the current week ad. Wiki #3 will contain the latest highlight & matchups for the current monthly ad. Last but not least, Wiki #4 will contain our Cheapies, Clearance, and Catalina finds
.

SHOPPING AT KMART FAQ

SYWR Card = Shop Your Way Rewards Card. A KMart Savings Card that you must sign up for if you want to take advantage of deals here! Earn 10 points for every dollar you spend. You can redeem the points at a rate of 1,000 points = $1. Points can be redeemed at KMart, Sears, and Lands End. You must have an email address on your account to earn bonus offers - if you do not have an email address, you will typically only earn base points (no bonuses). It is definitely worthwhile to use a valid email address to receive special email promotions; some are quite generous. As a bonus-level member, you're eligible for additional Bonus Offers and other perks and rewards. Your SYWR card will be suspended if you do multiple back-to-back transactions (this number changes regularly but you're usually safe at around 5 transactions) on the same register and with the same cashier. If you plan on doing more than a few transactions, it's best to do a few with one cashier at one register and a few with a different cashier at a different register - even if you have to go to the service desk. This is a security feature designed to prevent cashiers from using a member's account to rack up points and then redeem them for their own benefit. If your card is suspended, you will still earn points for your purchases, but you cannot redeem them until the suspension has been lifted. To have the suspense lifted, contact SYWR Customer Service, call 1.800.991.8708, Monday - Sunday, 8 am - 11 pm, Central Standard Time.

SYWR VIP Levels = The SYWR Card offers several VIP levels based on your annual spend (calcuated before coupons!). Each level comes with different "benefits".

Bonus Member: $0 to $2499.99 annual spend at KMart, Sears, or Lands End (with email address on account)

Silver VIP Level: $2500 to $4999.99 annual spend at KMart, Sears, or Lands End.

•Get an exclusive twice-yearly savings book with additional offers from the departments you shop in most

Gold VIP Level: $5000 to $9999.99 annual spend at KMart, Sears, or Lands End.
•Earn 10X Points on special Bonus Days throughout the year.
•Treat yourself to 10X Points during your birthday month.
•Earn 5X Points online for special Cyber Bonus Days.
•Get an exclusive twice-yearly savings book with additional offers from the departments you shop in most.

Platinum VIP Level: $10,000+ annual spend at KMart, Sears, or Lands End.

SYWR BONUS POINTS OFFERS =
You must have an email address on your account to earn bonus offers
KMart runs deals weekly strictly for SYWR members, and often times those offers include earning bonus points on certain purchases. These offers can be confusing, but if you follow the guidelines below, everything should work in your favor. If an offer states "Recieve a COUPON for $X (X points) when you spend $X on ____", KMart counts the amount towards this threshold BEFORE any coupons are used. However, if the offer simply states "Recieve XX bonus points ($X value) when you spend $X on ____" then KMart requires you to spend the necessary amount AFTER coupons are redeemed. Clear as mud, right? Just remember if you see the word COUPON, it means total BEFORE Qs.

CRT = Cash Register Tape Coupon. Prints after reciept. Usually a $/$ that you can roll into the next transaction. Generally speaking P&G CRT's are the only ones that do not roll. You can only redeem one CRT per transaction. Redeeming a CRT does not negate another CRT from printing.

CAT = Catalina (Red/White Coupon). Comes from the Catalina machine at the end of your purchase. Always make sure the Catalina machine is on, and note that the Customer Service Desks DO NOT have these machines. As long as a CAT says MFR COUPON at the top, you should be able to redeem along with a CRT. If the CAT says STORE COUPON, you can NOT combine with a CRT in the same transaction.

CSP= Check Shelf Price. When an item scans CSP, the item should be 50%-90% off. For more info read Kmart 101 by adawn80

SUPER COUPONS= KMart issues "Super Coupons" in both their weekly and monthly ads. In order to use the Super Coupons, you must use your SYWR Card.

Weekly Super Coupons: Limits are stated in each Q, and the Q will either be for a specific price, or take off a specific dollar amount for each item that attaches to the coupon. For example, if the coupon is for $1 off a widget, limit 5, when your card is scanned, your total will be reduced by $5 if you are buying 5 widgets.

Monthly Super Coupons: You must spend $25 in grocery, health or beauty care to use. Total is calculated before manufacture's coupons, but after Kmart Store coupons. The item you are using the coupon on does NOT count toward the $25 total. All monthly super coupons are a limit of 1 per transaction, however you can do multiple transactions and use additional coupons, as long as you meet the $25 threshold for each transaction.

There was a problem with one of the (non-SYWR) systems today that caused some sporadic outages with some of the SYWR services. If something didn't work between about noon and 3:30 CST, that's why. Just call the Call Center and they'll take care of your account.

Going in the wiki...

Out of the wiki. I started on next week's ad but now my laptop is dying, so I'll have to work on it more later. Smilie

There is a $1/1 Butterfinger IP on coupons.com, under the savings club. That's the only Nestle one I know of. and there is something in an All You Magazine, I would have to look back a few posts/pages to find out what it's from!

If CVS was really smart, they'd put a basket of rocks with upc codes on them at the registers, priced 10 cents to 89 cents each, because morons like me would buy them as fillers just to get out of the store faster.

Are the tear pads for the M&M Sweet and Salty Snack Mixes? I would love to find those because all I have is one from All You.

The monthly ad has both a Nestle and M&M deal. Nestle one says get $5 off at checkout and the M&M one is a GC. I couldn't figure out which size bags the Nestle one is on, though, because the stand up bag of Butterfinger Bites I found scanned $3.29 and the deal is supposed to be 4/$10. If anyone buys them or has bought them, could you report the size and types included.

Anyone know if Kmart sells single rolls of Sparkle paper towel? There's a new $.50 MQ & $1/2 MQ which could be doubled. ** Editing my post because they have single rolls priced $1.79 according to mygofer

Does Kmart sell Sun-Drop soda in 2L?? If so, there's a new $1 MQ in today's paper and could be used toward getting to the $25 limit to double other MQ's.

Went in to a location that I don't usually go to tonight to pick up some Pantene, and they didn't ring up BOGO50. I found out that this particular store doesn't run the same sales that are in the national ad...They said it's the only one in my area that is like this. Has anyone else come across this type of thing?

Yep, M&M snack mixes. It's a standalone cardboard display with four or five shelves of product.

I can't tell you how it tastes, because I came home with nada. Did the deal I posted earlier, tried the 5000 points CRT, the register said the P&G CRT was "reward not met." Voided, rerang without the points CRT, still said the same. I needed to be somewhere else and left, but turned around, determined to figure this thing out. Ranting

So we tried again with 8 Pantene instead of 6. That was to ensure the post-Q amount was over $10 in P&G, which was what the CSR and cashier agreed was the problem before. Just as the cashier started to ring things up, the CSR noticed that the P&G CRT didn't start until TOMORROW. Facepalm

I thought it was one from last week and never noticed the date. Not that it would have mattered, since I never know what the date is (although Cinco de Mayo should have given me a clue). laugh out loud

I think I'm just going to return everything I bought in the original transaction and forget about this whole P&G CRT business. Well, once I call corporate and tell them this was the stupidest coupon promotion EVER. Coverlaugh

BTW, the register didn't prompt for a GC for the M&Ms, just for the $50+.

Our Kmart doesn't carry the stand up bags of M&M Salty or Nestle Frown Spent 20 min with the mgr looking and all we found were the large $8.xx bags of regular M&Ms on a top shelf.

Can i use the CRT below on an order of health and beauty items or does "merchandise" not include health and beauty items? Has anyone used one of these when buying health and beauty items and got the 10,000 points?

My CRT says "Get 10,000 bonus points on a general merchandise purchase of $50 or more"

I used one yesterday on an order that had health and beauty, toys, grocery and clothing. It worked. So you should be able to. I take general merchandise to be anything the store sells.
