Welcome to the New Main Kmart Deals Thread!!

Shopping at KMart can be an adventure! Even if you're a seasoned couponer, KMart still can be quite a learning curve. Please take a moment to read the FAQ. Most repeated questions that are asked in the thread, can be found below
.

Thanks to Serra, we now have 4 Wikis for the KMart thread, which will hopefully make the information a lot easier to navigate.

This is Wiki #1, and it will give you a quick tutorial on shopping at KMart. Wiki #2 will contain the latest highlights & matchups for the current week ad. Wiki #3 will contain the latest highlight & matchups for the current monthly ad. Last but not least, Wiki #4 will contain our Cheapies, Clearance, and Catalina finds
.

SHOPPING AT KMART FAQ

SYWR Card = Shop Your Way Rewards Card. A KMart Savings Card that you must sign up for if you want to take advantage of deals here! Earn 10 points for every dollar you spend. You can redeem the points at a rate of 1,000 points = $1. Points can be redeemed at KMart, Sears, and Lands End. You must have an email address on your account to earn bonus offers - if you do not have an email address, you will typically only earn base points (no bonuses). It is definitely worthwhile to use a valid email address to receive special email promotions; some are quite generous. As a bonus-level member, you're eligible for additional Bonus Offers and other perks and rewards. Your SYWR card will be suspended if you do multiple back-to-back transactions (this number changes regularly but you're usually safe at around 5 transactions) on the same register and with the same cashier. If you plan on doing more than a few transactions, it's best to do a few with one cashier at one register and a few with a different cashier at a different register - even if you have to go to the service desk. This is a security feature designed to prevent cashiers from using a member's account to rack up points and then redeem them for their own benefit. If your card is suspended, you will still earn points for your purchases, but you cannot redeem them until the suspension has been lifted. To have the suspense lifted, contact SYWR Customer Service, call 1.800.991.8708, Monday - Sunday, 8 am - 11 pm, Central Standard Time.

SYWR VIP Levels = The SYWR Card offers several VIP levels based on your annual spend (calcuated before coupons!). Each level comes with different "benefits".

Bonus Member: $0 to $2499.99 annual spend at KMart, Sears, or Lands End (with email address on account)

Silver VIP Level: $2500 to $4999.99 annual spend at KMart, Sears, or Lands End.

•Treat yourself to 5X Points during your birthday month.

•Get an exclusive twice-yearly savings book with additional offers from the departments you shop in most

Gold VIP Level: $5000 to $9999.99 annual spend at KMart, Sears, or Lands End.
•Earn 10X Points on special Bonus Days throughout the year.
•Treat yourself to 10X Points during your birthday month.
•Earn 5X Points online for special Cyber Bonus Days.
•Get an exclusive twice-yearly savings book with additional offers from the departments you shop in most.

Platinum VIP Level: $10,000+ annual spend at KMart, Sears, or Lands End.

SYWR BONUS POINTS OFFERS =
You must have an email address on your account to earn bonus offers
KMart runs deals weekly strictly for SYWR members, and often times those offers include earning bonus points on certain purchases. These offers can be confusing, but if you follow the guidelines below, everything should work in your favor. If an offer states "Recieve a COUPON for $X (X points) when you spend $X on ____", KMart counts the amount towards this threshold BEFORE any coupons are used. However, if the offer simply states "Recieve XX bonus points ($X value) when you spend $X on ____" then KMart requires you to spend the necessary amount AFTER coupons are redeemed. Clear as mud, right? Just remember if you see the word COUPON, it means total BEFORE Qs.

CRT = Cash Register Tape Coupon. Prints after reciept. Usually a $/$ that you can roll into the next transaction. Generally speaking P&G CRT's are the only ones that do not roll. You can only redeem one CRT per transaction. Redeeming a CRT does not negate another CRT from printing.

CAT = Catalina (Red/White Coupon). Comes from the Catalina machine at the end of your purchase. Always make sure the Catalina machine is on, and note that the Customer Service Desks DO NOT have these machines. As long as a CAT says MFR COUPON at the top, you should be able to redeem along with a CRT. If the CAT says STORE COUPON, you can NOT combine with a CRT in the same transaction.

CSP= Check Shelf Price. When an item scans CSP, the item should be 50%-90% off. For more info read Kmart 101 by adawn80

SUPER COUPONS= KMart issues "Super Coupons" in both their weekly and monthly ads. In order to use the Super Coupons, you must use your SYWR Card.

Weekly Super Coupons: Limits are stated in each Q, and the Q will either be for a specific price, or take off a specific dollar amount for each item that attaches to the coupon. For example, if the coupon is for $1 off a widget, limit 5, when your card is scanned, your total will be reduced by $5 if you are buying 5 widgets.

Monthly Super Coupons: You must spend $25 in grocery, health or beauty care to use. Total is calculated before manufacture's coupons, but after Kmart Store coupons. The item you are using the coupon on does NOT count toward the $25 total. All monthly super coupons are a limit of 1 per transaction, however you can do multiple transactions and use additional coupons, as long as you meet the $25 threshold for each transaction.

The list of the restaurants should show up when you click on the eat local link on the offer. The promotion runs through 8/31. I am not sure if they have any restaurants available in Syria.

MEMBERS GET YOUR NEXT $25 MEAL BACK IN POINTS

**Offer valid 08/01/2015 — 08/31/2015. Excludes Shoneys, Popeyes and Burger King. Limit one offer per member. Must use a registered Shop Your Way card at a participating Rewards Network Shop Your Way partner. See list here. Get back what you spent in points up to $25. Points may take up to 4-6 weeks to be awarded to member account. We reserve the right to cancel or modify the offer at any time in the event fraud, abuse, unintended virality or if technical or other issues arise. By accepting Shop Your Way member benefits and offers, you agree to the Shop Your Way terms and conditions, available at www.shopyourway.com/terms. Can not be combined with the July month long double your points offer, or the $10 Burger King offer.
All the restaurant show 2% - 5% points back, should I ignore that and assume that they're all included in the spend 25 get 25$ points offer? I was hoping there would be a page that specifically said these are the places included in the 25/25 offer - but then, that wouldn't be k-mart's style to make any promo easily comprehensible.

All restaurants are included except the ones that are specifically excluded in the terms (Shoneys, Popeyes, Burger King are excluded). The restaurants have an ongoing percentage listed, and all but the excluded ones qualify for the $25 bonus.

I don't think you can use points for that, but I am not sure. If you go to their webpage they have a chat feature - and you can ask:

Anybody having problems redeeming points today, in store or online?....
I received a $10 surprise points off $10+ shoe dept but it isn't applying AND where regular points are usually applied there is a message "Something's gone wrong on our end. Please give us a minute and try again." I should have a few cents of regular SYWR points applying to the transaction even if I am wrong about the $10.

Your account is probably blocked. You'll want to change your login PW & PIN #, then call or email SYWR to get it unlocked. They blocked about 12k accounts last week for "suspicious activity" (on their end, though it's worded to make it appear like it's the customers' fault. -_-)

The last time they blocked my account, I actually appreciated it as a lost prevention action.LMAO

I lost my Kmart shopper small tag card in store and strangely enough by the next day some 17 transactions where done using that card, in that store...

SYWR rep was very nice and let me keep all the lovely dollars in points racked up by those trannys even though my account only had a few cents in points before that laugh out loud

Well, it took one clueless cashier, one clueless line manager & one clueless kmart customer service rep before I was transfered to the SYWR rep that was nice & competent. look around

Well, you called it. Account blocked, now "released" but may take up to 24 hours for the changes to "process". Honestly the message on the kmart.com just indicates wait... try again... not informative or helpful...do they think people will wait and try again on the internet? Seems more likely people would just abandon their carts and try target.com...

Not sure what happens if you were in the store trying to do a transaction.shake head

Tons of people tried to use them in store and were told they had 0 points. It was kind of like watching a train wreck - you knew what was going to happen, but you couldn't look away.

I had to help my mum and my fiance's mum unlock their accounts... Thank God they were technologically literate enough for me to not have to walk them through every step... @_@

Also, the $10 shoe points don't work for anything online (except for like 5 select pairs) but they do work on almost anything in store.
