Anyone have an LCOS projector?
I'm kind of down on DLP projector technology, since mine is having the "white dot syndrome", and needs replaced after just over 3 years. (was expecting at least 5-6 years out of it) I was thinking about LCD technology projectors, then found myself reading about newer technologies, such as laser and LCOS. Unfortunately, the laser projectors seem to be limited to lower resolutions than I would want, while LCOS, for the most part, is simply out of my price range.I did come across this one: http://home.toolshomes But can't find any reviews for it. I'm not sure if it is worth taking a gamble on it at this point - I think I'd rather see more established manufacturers marketing these for $600 or less before jumping in. I have found myself thinking that the dark scenes on my DLP projector don't seem as dark as I'd like. Evidently LCOS fixes that. I'm really interested in hearing from anyone who has an LCOS projector, or anyone who uses an LCD projector for regular movie watching. Thanks! Hide not your talents, they for use were made. What's a sun-dial in the shade?
