I typed the wrong address to slickdeals.org instead of .net. The page looks exactly the same. But it asked me to log in. I typed in my username/password. The page just flashed, then it;s not logged in.
I wonder if that page is the officical mirror of this .net page or not. So I can change my log in credentials.
If it's the official mirror and running on the same server, why didn't it sign-in? I typed my username/password and clicked enter. The page acted like it's login but the upper right corner still asks me to sign in again (username doesn't stick).
Reassuring slickdeals is proactive and protecting itself from hackers trying to steal user credentials. One less phish to worry about.
How to identify a telemarketer quickly---background noise indicates a call center. An Echo in the background identifies a voice over IP call. A pause before connection to caller indicates a robo call system. A winning call will identify you by name and not dance around you being a winner.
