I'm a big fan of smucker's all natural peanut butter (it's also called Laura Scudder's in other markets around the US...)...
but, fyi there was a voluntary recall on some of the crunchy peanut butter so you may want to check your fridge (note that it's an older recall)... http://www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/ucm280281.htm |

[anyone know if amazon prime will ship such stuff overseas for American brand-loving friends? guessing probably not] ...can't believe skippy goes for that much/gotta be cheaper on sale locally. can get organic pb on sale or grind own for nearly that price. [last i checked, it is crop grown in highly sprayed fields, after growing cotton]

Unfortunately PB prices have skyrocketed recently, even more so than most other foods which have virtually all become more expensive. Thank that hidden tax called inflation as well as Washington DC for printing loads of money and basically throwing it out of airplane windows all over the US. More dollars in relation to the same number of goods and services = less goods and services to dollar ratio = more expensive goods and services. Fuel prices have also had a huge impact on food prices but as I said PB has been affected moreso than most others for some reason. Stock up as PB is the ultimate survival food. I just gotta check the XP date. |
