Was gonna jump on this deal. But to my understanding you can not turn of the true motion b.s. on the LM6700, only the LM7600 can you turn off the true motion stuff. A Buddy has this set and says it's also not really good for gaming because of the inability to turn of the true motion. The lag is horrible. Why they didn't include this on the LM6700 is beyond me. Otherwise I would have jumped on it.

After buying a display samsung 46 LED (UN46D) for 450$ from target and returning it back, I went with this one. I checked for the 47 inch looking at this post yesterday night and saw that Sears was offering it at 1099$ (Again at checkout). I called Best Buy to PM, but they said they can do only 1199$. Checked at Amazon and they were carrying for 1299$. So went to Sears this afternoon and Voila the online price was no longer 1099. The store had the price as 1199. Then the manager was good enuf to override and gave it at 1089$. Looking forward to get it delivered in few days.

As for the TV itself, it has got pretty Amazing reviews. Not many reviews (quantitatively) maybe becuase it is a pretty new model of 2012, but the ones out there put this TV as the best in 3D market. I checked a LG with passive 3d and should say viewing was better than in Cinema. Will keep you posted once I get the TV and play around with it for few days.

Ya my buddy has been in contact with them as well about it. I don't think that's going to happen.
LG response was buy the LM7600 if you want to shut it off.

the 3d on this TV is awesome, but the 2d is better on our st30 plasma.

i got the 47 lm6700 for a total of 839 a few weeks ago. good tv for the prie.

ive has no problems gaming on this set. the older 5600 model, was much worse when it came to gaming.

it was the deal posted about 2 weeks ago, but it was for the 47 incher, not the 55.

Amzon is selling the LG 55LM6700 at $1,499.

Can someone tell me. Is there that much of a difference between 120hz and 240hz on these tvs? I'm looking at this model (6700) and the next level which is 240hz (7600). It's a $500 price difference...will I see a difference??
