OCZ Agility 3 AGT3-25SAT3-60G 2.5" 60GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) $49 AR+ AC

Looks like a good deal,
But I've had nothing but trouble with the Agility 3 - 60BG
I got from Micro center, random BSOD, random freezing.
I spent a whole day trying to get this thing to be stable.
I'm returning mine, if Micro center will allow a return.

Now I'm afraid of OCX SSDs

Did you upgrade the firmware to the latest that fixes just about everything?

ya I tried everything. updated firmware, MB Bios. runing in AHCI ect.
read all the OCZ forms for trouble shooting.
It would run good for an hour or so then start freezing.
I had it stable for almost 2 days once.
maybe I just got a bad 1 ?

I have 2 120gb and one 60gb of the agility version. They all had bad issues until the last firmware update. Did you do secure erase as well or just update with OS still on it?

Yes Secure erase, every time I installed OS.
I just installed again, we'll see how this install goes, Fingers crossed.

Agility 3 from MicroCenter BSOD on me even after BIOS update

The SSD i bought a few days ago from microcenter came with the latest firmware, according to the ocz toolbox app, am I missing something?

What is the latest firmware version?

that's the thing,~ noone should have to jump through hoops and such to get something working like this.

Look at Intel and Crucial's ssds yea they do have hiccups, but not like OCZ.

I have 4 of these from Micro Center and have had zero issues. Are you sure it wasn't a memory issue?

Didn't need it, but jumped on it anyway for my HTPC. Already purchased 3 SDDs this month, and need to stop!

Sorry to hear, I bought 2 from MC as well and only using one right now. I tried firmware update and mine said it was already the latest. I use it on my HTPC so I don't run it everyday, but I've had no issues so far in Win7. Did you do fresh install or clone? I was thinking of adding my 2nd one to run RAID0 for speed. I love how fast it is compared to my older SATAII SSDs. I so far have 6 SSDs now (3x OCZ, 1 Kingston, 1 Crucial, 1 WD) and no BSOD on any of them. Some of them are even clone, not fresh install.

Firmware was up to date 2:15 I think, Secure erase and Fresh install always.
It's running now with no issues, I haven't done any windows updates yet
I ran it to trouble right after a windows update last install.
