Cant believe the stuff it lifts out of my floors. It is almost two years old and I use it daily, at least once a day. I use it on my carpet, tile, linoleum and wood floors. You cannot go wrong with this price.

I found a lower-model Oreck at Big Lots for $99 (yes, a refurb, but often it just means open box...mine looked brand new). I just love it. Even compared to my sister's awesome dyson, this Oreck holds up. I spent years with bag less vacs before being able to appreciate how great it is to not have to see/ handle the dirt or empty a dust bin, clean a filter so often. The Oreck bags are inexpensive online, and in my non-pet home, a new bag lasts forever without getting close to full. Don't know specifically about the pilot, but I'm an Oreck fan for sure.

These things are soooo darn light it is great for lugging around the house up and down. This looks liks a sweet deal.
