Also if you run out of mana/spirit/etc when executing your RMB skill, you will start swinging your held weapon! |

I did some digging and read a few threads over at the Blizzard forums regarding the use of weapons and/or skills to attack. It's pretty much like you guys said, the amount of damage the skills or spells do is based on the attributes of your equipped weapon.

I added this to the wiki for those who wanted to know more of Blizzard's side for their decisions for the game.
There is a LENGTHY post from BASHIOK (works for Blizzard if you didn't know and is the guy that talks to the community about D3) I think its a great read if you want to know Blizzard's reason for doing what they did and why it was such a short beta. Just thought some people may like to read about it. http://www.diablofans.com/news/11...lue-posts/ |

blizzard intended for people to use the default in the beginning, there are tooltips that tell you about elective mode, but im sure they will probably have something that tells new players more information about elective mode (or let them know it exists at least) when the game gets released |

So you have the weapon base damage then whatever skill it is that you use along with it. That being said, I hardly ever actually ran out of hatred but it does happen. |

I agree that 13 levels isn't a fair assessment of the overall game, but it's all Blizz gave us and understandably some people came away less than enthused about what they saw. They must have known the changes, coupled with the limited game-time exposure, was going to lead to a good deal of grumbling from some players. Myself, I enjoyed the beta and still plan on picking up D3 upon release. |

That is part of their plan. Also, gift cards have a shockingly high rate of non-use. For some companies, they are a major profit center. But anyone who can resist the urge to impulse purchase stuff you don't need and never loses a card and gets the cards at half off, kudos on your iron will and true SD grit! |

FYI, I did decide to cancel the pre-order. I may pick it up later when discounted, but after the surprisingly amateurish writing, voices, and other non-blizzard quality compromises I lost my enthusiasm for it during the beta. I hope they fix it but its a lot to fix.

I think a lot of the people who canceled preorder/waiting for cheaper price haven't looked at the youtube videos/ followed D3 news... so they only know what the beta showed them.. i do wish there were a bit more content for the beta tho |
