Free 1 Month Xbox Live for Silver

I have no clue how long this will last, so I would take advantage of it while it still exists.

Perfect timing. It worked fine for me. My Gold account expired last week. I don't play much so I wasn't going to reup until I find a good deal on a one year card. Then I realized that my latest Fallout New Vegas save was in the Xbox cloud. Gotta be a Gold member to access it. Ugg. Using this to save my game to my hard drive. Thanks for posting this.

hmmm, I had 2 motnhs for $2 last time and it expires on 5th may, i dont think it will last 2 weeks, but still good deal, a free month of xbox live.

This is actually a serious question, but can someone please explain to me why Microsoft requires you to pay for a Gold Membership just to stream Netflix, Youtube, etc.?

Not to start a console war, but PS3 doesn't. Nor does Google TV, Roku, etc.

I will never understand why I need to pay to stream a service that I already pay for. It makes no sense.

You are paying for the extended options MS gives you such as party chat and a seemless connection that rarely has down time unlike PSN. I don't mind paying 35 bucks a year. I have a PS3 too but not huge on the multiplayer on it. When I play uncharted 3 or other games I always play with people from other countries and it seems like it lags a lot more. II never get lag on 360.

Ok, but this still doesn't answer my question. Not everyone likes to play multiplayer games or wants to do party chat, etc. I have grown out of all of that stuff and would just like options.

All I want to do is stream Netflix, Youtube, etc. Why can't that be separate from Gold? I know it easily can be, but Microsoft won't do it.

Luckily I have a PS3 and Google TV to fill these needs, but I think it's dumb regardless. And it's the main reason why I will not pay for a Gold Membership anymore and why I rarely even turn on my 360 anymore.

For those worried about giving their credit card number, they will keep your number attached to your account and the only way to remove a credit card number is to give them another. Paypal accounts can be disconnected from your live account at any time.

Right after, I disabled the auto renewal under the account settings page and canceled the auto payment link with microsoft in my paypal account settings to make extra sure. Repped
