synchronous vs asynchronous ssd

What's the difference and which one is faster for daily tasks such as browsing, photo editing, watching movies etc.?

The quick summary is synchronous is faster than asynchronous in all aspects, but Synchronous models cost more than the same storage sized asynchronous counter parts.

How noticeable of a speed difference between the two in everyday usage is heavily dependent on the end user. Both types will provide significant improvements over traditional HD.

And finally a tip for dealing with the long reviews with terminology that you don't understand... skip to the graph charts, and read the conclusions

Then why not just post a link to that page? Or to one of the reviews the first post references (although even as a geek, they were more than I wanted to read)? Or to really be helpful, provide a brief summary of the major conclusions (that synchronous drives perform significantly better, but cost more)?
