only problem for gaymers is the lack of a full sized expansion slot. would be easy enough to supplant the mobo i suppose. this is great for a loud, big, ugly xbmc box

And the reviews are pretty much mediocre. Loud, hot cpu, 65w tdp max, stuff wont fit...I'd really like a SFF box but I dont think is the one.

I bought a couple of these at $110-$130. great budget box when paired with G530 celeron. Not sure where loud or hot are coming from. I do suggest that you get the lowest profile RAM you can, but standard value RAM fits (don't expect anything with a heatsink to work if you have a DVD drive though....like you need it on a budget box anyway)

Looks good to me. Just the motherboard by itself is ~$60.So it's $30 for a SFF case. Not for me though, cuz I want my cases big enough to fit a full-size GFX card.

Agreed. These boxes are GREAT for a cheap build or HTPC using a Sandy Bridge Celeron or Pentium. MicroCenter has the G530 for $35 in store or the Pentium G620 for $50. I "think" the mobo in this box is really similar to the Foxconn H67S LGA 1155 Intel H67 which Newegg has for $60. So you're basically paying just $30 for a case and PSU. That's a good deal.

FWIW, after doing some research I just finished building a Win7 HTPC w/ XBMC using a $80 Biostar mobo (BIOSTAR TH61ITX+RCH) that came with a WMC remote. I love it because the remote can run Media Center well, and has shortcut buttons so i can get into XBMC and then use my Android phone to control that. Paired the mobo with a $40 Raidmax mini-ITX case from Fry's (slightly smaller than this Foxconn model) mainly because it also supported a full size PCI-e card.

Yea, i agree it is not ideal (or particularly pretty) but when you get hyperspecific it gets expensive... great value here for $90.

I just started seriously looking at mini-ITX Intel setups and haven't been watching long enough to know how often $104 shipped comes around (no shoprunner here, boo).

I'm planning on pairing something like this with something like a 35W TDP i3-2100T (not yet purchased). I like the SATA 3. I would be happier if it also had a couple of USB 3.0 ports, though I get it's not "natively" supported by the chipset and I suppose it's not absolutely essential. $100 or so for a sandybridge mobo/power-supply/case seems pretty reasonable, and I'm not planning on adding an optical drive so I'm thinking this case may treat me well enough.

Is this deal special? I understand tech prices will always go down in the future, but do you think I am likely to see more/better in the next few weeks? Thanks
