Gladiator Clearance at Lowes B+M YMMV

they need to drop the prices a lot more than that

there should be some slickdeals rule that classifies clearance as needing to be more than 50% off

Hey, at least it's good as a heads up post. I noticed this at the store and will be keeping an eye on it, though I don't expect I'll get any at decent clearance prices, I sure could use a roller cabinet.

It's Lowes clearance sticker and everyone loves to see them at 50% off but check out the inventory online in your area to see whether its ymmv for u and decide. I got plenty of Premier cabinets but these might work out for somebody

I was just at Lowes in Rancho Cordova California (near Sacramento);

hooks on sale/clearance for $6.64 (originally $9+ dollars); scoop hook, wide hook
RTA casters for $29 (originally around $40)
Ball Caddy $40 (originally around $60).

These prices are still only OK. From what I know about Lowes clearance items, if you take the risk and wait, the price will drop further in a few weeks.

i was at my local Lowe's a couple of days ago and noticed everything that mddong found on sale too. But the larger cabinets were normal price. i'll be keeping an eye on this and going back to check it out. this might be a clearance based on local inventory overstock so might be very YMMV.

I bought a bunch of ClosetMaid shelving about 2 years ago when they transitioned to Rubbermaid brand. It was about 65% off when I bought it, then 2 days later, it dropped to like 80% off. I redid several closets with it, so it was about $500 worth of stuff, but they still did the PM when I brought in the receipt. YMMV, but I think they find it easier(less labor intensive) to just do the PM rather than have someone refund it, then put it back on the shelf, then recut, then check it out again if I were to ask for a refund since I was well within my rights to do so.

Within reason.....probably 30 days from purchase.

Went thru this with Home Depot, something I bought on clearance went 50% off the clearance price I got, something like 31 or 32 days after I bought it. I told them I would gladly return the item (since it was within the 90 day return policy, and unopened/unused), then rebuy it at the new price. They said dont bother and credited me the additional 50%.

Wake up people and rep the Op for the heads up. Obviously many of you don't understand Lowe's Clearances, and I can tell you that many of the Gladiator items are already over 50% at many stores. However, since the prices are different at every store, you'll have to check out your local stores. I may post some lists for you on prices by store number for a couple items to show you the big variation in prices, but show some love for the Op first.

Thanks BLS not exactly looking for points but online inventory of these items are low at Lowes in my area thus waiting could be an issue of supply + demand if there is no restocking. I'm only interested in the base cabinet to complement my Gladiator garage but most stores in my area are down to 0 or 1 meaning NONE in some cases. The base cabinet is bigger than the 30x30 wall cabinet thats usually marked down to $99 every now and then. Buy and price match later may be an option as mentioned. Check out the high prices at Amazon too

I was really more telling people that they need to use their own mind a bit, instead of hoping that every single deal is spelled out to them, and show gratitude, whether it be a rep, thank you or otherwise for a heads up deal. Many posters were actually thread crapping without realizing it could be a very good deal for some (thus the YMMV).

Sounds like you're not familiar with Lowes Clearance either, but you are correct. The stores with the lowest inventory are many times those that have the lowest price. If you are fortunate enough to have one near you than it's a great deal.

I find these postings very, very useful, as I always check to see if there are any around me that have this deal. It's also wise to check somewhat frequently to see if the prices drop, which the often do.
