Free 48hr/2 day Xbox Live Gold Codes requires Xbox live/Windows Live account

These are free codes... I don't understand why people are asking for other people's codes... and why are others getting codes they don't want?

If you want more codes, create an e-mail and gamer tag on XBL, verify it, then get the code. Any time I think of a cool gamer tag I grab it and these 48hr codes are great for a weekend of play (however, you can not use netflix with them!)

How can you have a "slick deal" on paying money to use bandwidth you pay for to connect a console you paid for to some servers so you can play with other people paying money to do the same?

Even after death I will never understand such rampant stupidity...nevertheless I'd say enjoy your codes, but they won't even give you that! I love it!

i've seen a lot of arguments against Xbox live gold. Some make sense, some do not, and some, like this one, are just dumb. Just because you bought the console and you bought your internet connection you are entitled to play games for free connecting to "some servers"? I'm glad this less than $3 a month membership largely filters this kind of ppl out of my multiple player experience.

The slick deal is getting to use "XBOX LIVE" for FREE (not paying for it). It is a service that is very well put together and I gladly pay $3-4 a month to use it. Stupidity is commenting on something you have no interest in (what are you doing here?) and are absolutely clueless about.

Also, they do give us the codes. What does "they won't even give you that" mean? This post wouldn't be here if they didn't give us what the post is telling us that they will give us.

At 1st I was like why would anyone really want this if they have gold and there's a handful of games that come with this on a card. However, I have a couple cousins that don't use live anymore. This is nice if they want to play some coop or multiplayer for a weekend. Also, I make a trip to a beachhouse every year in which any of them has an xbox 360. A code like this would be perfect for come online play for that weekend. thx and repped

Didn't work for me. Live accepted the code but didn't change my account status. Still shows free membership.

sometimes i wonder about slick deals ....i have always despised cheap peeps for so many things among most MONEY MONEY MONEY!!!! its like buying drinks the cheapskate always finds a way to skate by to avoid buying or dinners or tipping jeez the list goes on...but getting back to this deal its 2 frkg days i think i bought my yearly pass for less then 40 beans which comes out to what a nickel for the 2 days .....I admit i try to save on high price items (like the vett they had awhile back ...many thumbs up dude for that one saved 8k on that one) but saving on some items i see makes me want to puke at peoples thinking.....i will not thumbs down you but please!!!!!!

If you don't need Gold Live features like online multiplayer every day, free 2-days Gold Live is great when I want to do some multiplayer over the weekend.

I have never subscribed to Gold Live on regular subscription. Microsoft does the 1 month/$1 or 2 months/$2 promo so often which is I subscribe. I don't mind paying $1/month since I don't use Gold Live features every day.

Gamers like to compare free PSN online multiplayer to Gold Live. If you are that hardcore of online multiplayer, the best service is Live. I have played same game on both consoles online and Live is better overall. There are more to just connection to online. Plus there are more Gold specific services than free PSN or PS+.

Oh, so the codes work for you if you already have a "Gold" account? Lot of charitable SDers out there now...

Rampant stupidity is paying for a "service" for which you provide access. Trust me, paying nothing beyond internet to filter out the denizens of XBL from my gaming experience is money well spent. Figuratively, that is, since it costs nothing. I buy game system. I buy game. HELL YES, I expect to game freely after that. And justify it however you like, for me $40 a year is one or two more games to play. Chumps!

But please, white knight moar for Microsoft. I think it's adorable...

I think as long as you like doing it its ok. Think this as some kind of entertainment. Surfing slickdeals won't save enough money to make one rich, since the only way to make one rich (besides winning the lottery or some other small chance event) is to find ways to earn more money, not just saving it. scoring a deal is like getting a high score in a game.

In this particular case however, a 48 hours gold can come in handy when you want to invite your friends to play something over the weekend, like some other poster has said.
