agree 110%! Awesome game, but way too frustrating. Maybe this applies to all japanese games? Metal Gear Solid was also very frustrating for me.

One of the most challenging games available, but oh so fun. It doesn't hold your hand as if you're retarded like most games do. Pick it up if you actually like to be challenged.

Great game! I originally purchased over a year ago and had to put it down due to the overwhelming difficulty. However, I started a new game about a month ago and have fallen in love with this game! There's a very steep learning curve, but this game is extremely rewarding once you get past that. I would recommend starting your game with the royalty class, as he has a 'soul missile' projectile spell which is insanely helpful. Also, once you get one level down, it's pretty easy to grind it several times to level up your character. I did this a few times after beating each level, before even looking at the next one. Some are assuredly better at me with video games, but I found I almost had to do this in order to progress. A little later in the game, I had my character strong enough where I actually played through three levels in a row without dying once, one of my proudest achievements in gaming

You will hate this game like no other. I can't even get past the first boss, which is frustrating when you work your way up the castle for ~15 minutes, and then die and have to start all over.

This game will kill your PS3, so watch out..

I was playing one day, making my way down one of the "wings", when out of nowhere this one nasty creep got me and I died.. In frustration I stomped my PS3..

In seriousness, this and Dark Souls is one of the most difficult and unforgiving games of this console generation.. If you want easy mode, this is probably not for you.. if you want something challenging, this is filled with challenge..

The multiplayer aspect is nice if you need help with certain areas or like to PVP.. I only experienced the multiplayer when someone invaded my world and made me scream like a little girl when this red nasty showed up out of nowhere..

awesome game,... people are correct in talking about the difficulty of it... i would suggest finding a good deal on some spare controllers for when you hurl one across the room in anger...

for those who keep dying: go slow. learn the attack patterns of each monster, and attack when there is an opening. keep your shield up, and don't over-attack. this game makes it painfully obvious that every one of your deaths is entirely your own mistake - just be patient and take your time.

This and Dark Souls are only difficult until you learn the move sets of your enemies (which shouldn't take long since they only have 3-4 moves). However, this game is very unforgiving. If you get greedy and try to get in another attack, you will be hit hard.

You might check warehouse deals for this used, due to lack of dlc. I found it for around 10 with prime shipping a few months ago, in "like new" condition... Many people consider it too hard and resell I believe.
