I dont understand this deal. So i sign up, they send me a coupon code and after that I send in my 8 year old dell laptop? What happens if they dont think the dell computer is not performing up to their standards?

for the people that did the trade in B&M stores, did they offer you a gift card (that's good for anything) or only a discount toward a new laptop?
I have an OLD sony laptop that i dont need but I am not really in the market for a new laptop yet. thanks |

I went to the sony store in palo alto, and got this 15in i5 core laptop including tax for $500.

I keep getting HTTP 500 errors out of the site, and the closest sony store is 2 hours away. Not worth the hassle. I have an ibook sitting here that works perfectly, it's just 8 years old that I'd love to trade in for a new i5. I'll wait and see if the site works better later.

I didn't do it. but.. With the discount, this deal is still luke warm.. If you have to have the sony name, then ya. it's decent. If you don't.. well. It's meh....
