This SSD is awful, terrible product, reminds of a joke :
People are waiting in line in Russia in front of a store, someone screams " TOILET PAPER, THEY'VE DELIVERED TOILET PAPER!!!!", crowd goes HOOOORAH !!!!, store manager comes out and says, there is a problem, toilet paper is used, "BOOOOOH" goes the crowd, but it's free ad the manger "HOOOORAH!!! " goes the crowd. |

They wanted me to pay $12 to ship the vertex plus back to them because they said it was defective, when they KNEW their engineering team was working on a firmware fix. I just put it on the shelf for 3 months and then updated it and its working. Not much I can do about the power supply other than decide whether to pay ~15+ to mail this heavy honker back to them and get a refurb back I dont trust or just throw it out. Lastly, do not buy this product. Besides the sandforce/firmware issues its poorly made and has a high DOA and failure rate that are not firmware related. There is a reason why these keep getting sold for nearly half the price of any other bargain SSD. |

![]() Fact is no carrier can guarantee that your package will arrive intact. That's why there's insurance. Hate on USPS all you want, but for small packages, USPS typically delivers faster and cheaper. FCM/Priority Mail = 3 days across the US. For the same price you just might be able to afford UPS or FedEx Ground. Will there be an incompetent mailman at the end of the route? Maybe. However no packages, rebates, tax returns, anything money-sensitive that I ever sent out via USPS has gotten lost. |

i'd like to say that i had bad experience with shipping to OCZ in the past. a 30 dollar part. i send using USPS with delivery confirmation (not tracking). USPS shows it is delivered, but OCZ refused and told me it was "untraceable" and denied the ticket even after i showed them the confirmation number. YMMY, but what i learned is that you need to follow exactly what they said in order to held them responsible. and if they said UPS/FedEx, you better do it. there is nothing to stop them saying your packet was not received. let the shipping issue settle already. this is looking like argument between new car and used car. |
