Tempted to get it as a backup... Missing Gigabit & no Tomato available for it right now... But it seems like a solid backup... Running a Refurb. E3000 as main router right now...

Yah, no Tomato at 5 Ghz.
Right now using E3000 as main also on Tomato and love it. My RIG:

Bought two - I tried to PM it with Walmarts but because the instant rebate lowered it to $65, it was a no go.

Amazon - E2500 [amazon.com] That should get it down to about $75... They shouldn't say that the mail-in-rebate will lower the price more then that since u are not guarantee to get the rebate.... It can get lost in the mail / U can forget to send / It can be rejected for multiple reasons... It is not part of the basic price... The basic price from Staples right now is $80+Tax... Looks like a good deal to me. unfortunately, I do not happen to have any ink credits at this time. I will wait for the next good deal. I don't really know what to look for in a router, but I know Linksys is up there with the best.

First I wanted to get rid of the warm/hot problems with Linksys routers... Got a FAR notebook cooler for it... And it's been cool to the touch since on stock FW... So it should run even better on Tomato... |

Purchased the router in store. The rebate didn't spit out. Came back and did a chat and confirmed that $15 staples rebate is for online purchase only. Will go back and return it.
