How many times will this "deal" be posted?

I assume this deal isn't that great since it would still cost more to buy the subwoofer individually than to pay $399 for the 5.1 system together.

You can get a better sub woofer separately for less. These speakers are quite good for the price, but I definitely would not spend the $400 for the 5.1 set. I picked up http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6882290034 when it was on-sale for $80 to compliment these and have thus-far not been disappointed with my purchase.

I don't claim to be an audio guy, which is why I rely on reviews. One specifically says they upgraded to the 200 watt Energy sub and that it was an upgrade from the Polk that you listed.

I was waiting for this deal to come up again. If you're really looking for a solid 5 channel speaker set, this is a solid deal.

After thinking a while though, I realized that I don't really care for 5.1 surround and would prefer two large, high quality floor speakers.

I'm waiting for the Polk Monitor 70s to come back down to 150 a piece and am going to jump on that.

On a side note, how would this Center channel speaker compare to a Polk CS2? Or would it not even compare?

Are there any sub or receiver deals out there right now that are good quality products but are a good value? Looking to build a system from scratch, not sure if I should just pull the trigger on these and fill in the other gaps later, or if there is something else out there (up to ~$250 for the 5 speaker set??) that I would be happier with.

This sub is normally $200+, on sale for $125, much better sub than the psw10 at $80.
