Really you are wondering why it's so popular at $1500? This camera is still $2200 brand new, granted you only get 90 days warranty but this camera is still an awesome camera and doesn't get discounted often. This is cheaper or close to the prices you'll find used on eBay or CL but it's hardly used (6800 shutter is low for a 150,000 lifetime shutter). I really debated between this in the Mark III and decided to go with the Mark III which i picked up earlier this week. It's hard to swallow the fact that deals like this at $1500 are coming up for the Mark II though when I paid more than 2x which could have bought a nice lens. But i've been coveting low-light high-ISO capabilities for a while so I decided to take the plunge.

you're seriously asking why the 5dii is a popular camera?

My order just shipped. Traded a canon film camera I bought on evil bay for $8.

Got mine today, had a shutter count of 33.

Got mine on friday with shutter count 29 No complaints.

Read some reviews on this camera and the 7D. According to the review this is a truly outdated camera. You get more with 7D than. I simply can't justify spending so much for an outdated body

You get more with 7D than the Mark II. --- Use a point and shoot, it is more convenient to carry and use. Dont have to bother with all the lenses, etc.
