Does anyone know what these batteries are good for? Or preferred use?

There used to be a thread but I don't have the link anymore going over which batteries (e.g. Alkaline, Nickel, and other types) are intended for what use (remote controls, toys, wii remotes, clocks, keyboards, mice, etc...)

Good deal on AA's.

I buy my batteries at 99 Cents Only store. They have brands like sony, panasonic, everready, sunbeam, etc and always have 4 packs. Just went there a few days ago, in fact, to get batteries...and they had 8 pack AAA's.

So, in this case...
40x AA = $10
40x AAA = $5
Half/Half = $7.50

If you have a decent dollar store in your area, then it's worth a look. You may be surprised. 99 cents only store is my favorite store...because it even has a decent grocery section and every time I shop there, I always walk out feeling like I got a good deal. Zero buyer's remorse ;P

Ya, some of their stores are dirty and a little rundown...but there are some very clean ones with huge selections.

Agreed...and most SD'ers have enough batteries from FAR deals to power small cities..
