You are comparing different products my friend... The pre-workout has VASTLY changed in the past few years. Nowadays, concentrated pre-workouts are the rage, because of the so-called "JACKED" feeling you get from them. I.e. 1mr, Jack3d, Hemo Rage, BSN Hyper-FX, PHD Wired etc.

These are different than the superpump and no-xplodes of the past. Not only are they literally full of over 300+ mg of caffeine anhydrous, but the 1,3 dimeth and the boatload of arginine and l-carnitine and creatine is why you think it helps.

But the fact is, you are just getting hopped up on all the stimulants. It's almost like a "drug" where you won't feel like working without it because you don't get that "jacked" feeling.

And yes, I used to use a ton of supplements like a fool, having spent well over $3000+ the past 2 years at BB.com and Amazon.com.

That said, if it works, more power to you. But eventually your body adjusts and you'll feel like hell when you have to stop it.

Nowadays, I'm off the stim-train, just sticking to good old whey and casein protein and creatine mono powder that I take with some cheap kool-aid and pedialyte mix.
