This works with T-Mobile "4G" HSPA+ up to 21 Mbit/s. Some cities have been upgraded to allow theoretical 42 Mbit/s speeds with the newest devices; the Galaxy Nexus is not capable of going over 21.
In real life usage with T-Mobile's current network you will likely see somewhere between 2 to 8 Mbit/s, depending on your city, so it's not really an issue yet.

The unlocked GN should work with T-Mobile T-Zones/Web2Go and ATT Medianet (old, cheap grandfathered data plans that are no longer available). Beware, however, that T-Mobile was able to block all Nexus Ones from using T-Zones/Web2Go earlier this year so there is no guarantee it will work forever. Also a lot of people have reported that MediaNET DOES NOT work with this phone. Do a Google search before you decide to take a gamble!

Pros to buying the Galaxy Nexus:
- Most important, price.
- Pure Google, quick updates, will get Jellybean
- Removable Battery
- No bloat (except for the Verizon version)
- Huge developer backing
- Can possibly use old data plans (T-mobile $6/7 Tzones, ATT $10 Medianet, etc)
- Top notch build quality
- Pentaband, will work on T-Mobile USA 3G and ATT 3G

Cons to buying the Galaxy Nexus:
- No LTE onboard
- 720p Super AMOLED Pentile screen
- Shoddy Camera picture quality.
- No expandable storage
- Vanilla Android UI may not appeal to everyone, its lot customizable though however that would requires time effort and experience. Difficult for android n00bs (hardly. once click root and unlocker tools are out there, install AOKP, done)


Pros to getting the AT&T One X:
- Arguably better screen - Full 720p IPS LCD
- LTE speeds
- Has one of the best cameras on a phone (mixed reviews -- Engadget likes it a lot but GSMArena gave it a middling review; still better than Galaxy Nexus though)

Cons to getting the AT&T One X:
- Slower updates (if any)
- Sense UI may not appeal to everyone
- Non-removable battery (this is especially necessary with LTE)
- No expandable storage
- Arguably con: Capacitive front buttons (unlike on screen with Galaxy Nexus)
- Arguably worse build quality (reports of the ceramics falling off the back of the phone)
- Arguably no custom rom community (yet...? Edit: I think dev support of One X will be there soon.)


Pros to getting the SGS3:
- Better camera than Galaxy Nexus. hd front facing cam. hdr
- HSPA+ version (T-mobile) features better CPU (Exynos 4 quad core); better than the Snapdragon S4 inside Galaxy Nexus and HTC One X
- Removable bigger battery
- Expandable storage
- 4.8 inch screen (same dimensions however)
- Gorilla Glass 2
- GLONASS

Cons to getting the SGS3:
- Slowww updates. Don't expect samsung to serve your interests after purchase. vs google who pushes updates to the gnexus direct.
- Touchwiz will not appeal to anyone; but should be able to root and install rom of your choice
- Same Pentile screen as Galaxy Nexus.
- LTE version will most like feature an inferior Snapdragon S4 CPU.
- No on screen buttons(pro or con).
- plastic design. shouldn't be far off from the galaxy nexus though.
- the GPU is the same as last year's Galaxy S II, which was top notch nonetheless.
- No idea when it would be available in the US, especially the LTE version. However, summer is a good bet.
