250GB Hard Drive for Xbox 360 Slim @ Sears B&M Clearance $35 YMMV

Just came back from the Sears store in Oakland, CA.

In their electronics department I saw on the clearance table two retail box 250GB hard drives for the Xbox 360 Slim for $34.97 each. I snagged both.

There was a thread last week about a clearance deal for these drives at Sears, but it was $65 each (link to thread).

Due to the nature of this deal, it's gonna be really YMMV. If you miss out on the hard drive, I also saw on the clearance table two models of iPhone/iPod speaker docks for $20 and $30, Belkin 2.1 amp car charger for iPad/iPhone for $5 and other stuff that I thought were pretty cheap but I didn't need, so a trip to Sears might not be wasted.

You can take the actual harddrive out of the slim casing and put it in your phat xbox harddrive casing and it will work just fine. there are just a couple of screws to undo.

Not exactly sure what you're saying here. Are you saying I can take the drive out and replace it with a new, bigger drive? Is it a 2.5" drive? How do I make a mirror image of the drive?

Sears clearance is just like Target clearance-individual stores can vary wildly in price, and price matching to another of their stores does not happen-I have been shot down at 3 different Sears last week trying to get the Viewsonic tab and the Weber grill, having pictures of the receipts/store displays from the OPs. It makes you thankful for (somewhat) for Staples at least having national clearance prices.

Just wanted to share, o went to the sears at riverside, ca they had two so did a price check and the guy was ringing them at 69.99 so I pass on them on my way home i call that sears custumer and ask how much the guy on phone said they were sold out, i told him i had just seen 2 at the mens department and ask him the price he said 75% off the 69.99 i was amazed at that moment and told my wife
Lets go back so went back and to my suprise they were still there so got them for like 35 both of them they also had the kinect stant for 24.99 minus the 75% off. Im happy
