I don't know if your link and this can truly be compared. Would be nice if this was a 2x 2TB drive (4GB NAS) to allow for RAID.

IMHO both are nas.

Also both have USB to add an external drive. Not sure if it can mirror though. Would b a nice feature.

Not exactly sure about this unit but the 4TB NAS I bought from LG had HItachi drives in them.

I agree, the WiFi only Seagate seems good, and might be a better deal for some, but not for my needs

Here [amazon.com]are some reviews I found for a SIMILAR LG NAS, looks the same, but has a different model number just so you know.

If this NAS performs as well as some of the reviews state, I'll be very pleased. Of course, there are some bad reviews, as always, but they look to be from people who had bad luck, ie: defective item, or people who don't know what they're doing (Which i bet is more common lol)

Edit: According to reviews, the included software seems flaky... but I don't care, I can use filezilla, or something similar to manage files...

first i collbled a Dockstar as NAS major flakyI...then a IOcell NAS w/2tb drive ..kinda flaky..then added ZyXEL 210 with 1tb much nicer now my WDlives can see along with builtin torrent engine!

And got two 2TB drives from the Staples deal for $85 each. Making my total for a NAS closer to Synology standards ( I believe) $280.

I don't think you can easily find a NAS with 4TB, 2TB each bay, easily for that price with functionality that satisfy most.
