I purchased FIFA 12 for the PS3 not long ago from this slickdeal: http://slickdeals.net/f/4175268-G...-Game-Free
It gets stuck on the beginning loading screen and will not load beyond that point. After searching the internet it seems that EA released a patch a while back that messed up peoples ability to play the game and EA has done nothing to fix this. (just do a quick google search)

After trying out and getting the same result on a different PS3 system we have in our house I sold the game on Amazon last week (Wanted to keep the 2 ipods I got from the slickdeal). Just got an email from amazon 2 days ago that the buyer is having the same issue as me and is asking for a refund. I would stay away from FIFA 12, unless you have played it recently on your own system (Rental/Borrowed from a friend). I'm not a FIFA hater. I have always enjoyed the game, but just an FYI as I wish I would have known about this issue before purchasing it."
