That's what I did and I got THIS. Although I actually only paid $577 for that system.

Well, it helped that it was just coming up on the Black Friday-Christmastime selling period, when Dell was trying to clear old stock to make space for holiday orders, but any time that there's a 20% off coupon would work, more or less.

For example, there's one in the outlet at this moment that's identical to that, but with the addition of a Blu-ray player, Windows Professional instead of Premium, Sound Blaster X-fi, and double the RAM for $1,170. Subtract 20% and you're at $940, which is $400 more but you also get those upgrades. Alternatively, there's one just like yours minus the graphics card for $640 after 20% off, plus the 6770 for about $80, and you're at $720. So, it's a bit more, but considering that the i7's sold out in less than 2 hours last time, I'd say it's at least realistic to get the deal.

It's updated in real time. As soon as a machine comes in, it shows up online. As soon as it's sold, it becomes unavailable. Read the thread you posted and Joe's link, it already explains all of that.
