Need a single 4GB Ram chip
However, I need it for the almost ancient PC2 5300 DDR2 200 pin (Macbook Pro). ALl I can find is a 2x4GB pack. iFixit has the 4GB chip, but it is like $120. I can get a max of 6GB in the machine, but it has to be 1X4GB + 1X2GB. Any ideas? I already checked the obvious - Newegg, Tiger, Crucial Last edited by hammondc; 04-26-2012 at 05:45 AM.. |

Any specific reason why a 4GB kit won't cut it?
If you refer to your husband/wife as 'DH/DW', you're too old to be active on a forum.
If you ask for marriage advice on a(ny) forum, you should seriously reevaluate your life. If you don't know the difference between 'their', 'there', and 'they're', I automatically assume you have a mental disability (same goes for to/two/too and your/you're/yore). |

Performance & space. I only have 2 slots so it has to be in that configuration. I have 2GB RAM now, and Aperture crawls on it.
