could someone explain to me difference of PCI vs USB? I can't find a clear cut difference on this

I dont know about this more but the diffrence is:
A USB adapter either converts a different connective port such as PS/2, PCI, or ISA to a USB connector or converts a device to use USB. Conversely, a PCI adapter is any add-on computer card that serves to adapt the PCI slot to the card's purpose. For example, a video card inserted into a PCI slot will be shown by a computer as a "display adapter. |

From the research I have done in the past, it appears there a many more USB adapters available as they offer laptop connectivity as well as desktop. Little to no difference in performance/reliability. USB adapters seem to be available at a cheaper price point, probably due to the increased market competition. Do you want a protruding adapter that takes up one of your USB ports...or do you want a permanent PCI fixture...
