Also, the 3rd co-founder of Condor/Blizzard North didn't stay with Blizzard either so the core group behind the earlier Diablo games are all gone from Blizzard.

Plus, I read somewhere that the guy in charge of Window Live's DRM was hired to help out on Diablo.

When the pre-order first went up on Steam it said July was the release date so that's probably where you saw it. I hope it hits in June if the devs aren't too busy playing Diablo 3

I have a bunch of buddies of Diablo3, but I dont care for the control scheme.

Man, I totally forgot there was a console version of Diablo back in the day. The good thing about torchlight is that it's mod friendly so even if there's no gamepad support, there's the possibility a happy fan could do it, unlike D3 where you only get exactly what they release and no possibility of enhancing it.
