How to Order "Online Only" item at Staples using BM coupon?

pinchshopper 490 414 April 26, 2012 at 06:20 PM More Staples Deals
I wanted to use a 25/75 "store only" coupon, but the item that I want to purchase shows "online only". Can the store order one for me or something, or am I just SOL?

Here's the item that I want to purchase http://www.staples.com/AutoExec-B...storeId=10

Thanks

Use the kiosk and pay at the register. You should be able to then use your in-store coupon.

Thanks for the info. I've never seen a kiosk though at my store. Where are they usually located?

We live in a small town, and Staples is one of the few stores that we have.

The kiosk is usually located towards the back of the store (once, it was right at a front counter) - it is but a computer terminal where you can place orders online at Staples.com and either pay online or at the register. If you can't find one, ask an associate who should be able to tell you where it is. I do believe, though, that some stores do not have it.

The funny thing about kiosk orders is that online coupons will not work if you choose to pay at the register, unless you get a manager override. Since you have an in-store coupon, you should be fine even though a kiosk is actually an online order!

I appreciate your help, we ordered our item and used our coupon with no problems. They are even shipping it to our home at no extra cost.

It turns out that our store has a computer on a swivel base up front at the register. She let me find the item, then she placed the order for me. I paid at the register using the coupon, and life is good.

Thanks again.

Glad it worked out.

Today, I made an order from kiosk with online coupon. I have trouble in check out.
The cashier can not scan the coupon in receipt into system, call the manager to override , the manager just told cashier, if she can not scan then I can not use that coupon. I left and tried the second store.
This manager is really nice, told me that he can override this coupon, but I need let him take a look at this coupon, I show him the coupon code from ejunkies in my email, he said he had check this coupon code by his coupon code tools and this coupon is not staples coupon, he can not do that for me.

It is ridiculous, the onlien coupon had gone through in kiosk computer and redeemed and print out in the receipt, but when check out still need scan again and override, but right now it is an invalid, redeemed code.

Yes, Staples is quite weird when it comes to its coupons and how they apply to orders. Basically, online coupons will not work on kiosk orders if paid for at the register whereas in-store coupons will. I do not know what the logic is.
