And don't worry, if I get this newbie scriptor watching all my keystrokes, I will just put the computer in a microwave.
Be careful. The problem is not just on hardware level.
One example is identity theft. Or, if he installs proxy/vpn/etc, he can do something else and let you take the blame for it. Either way, you dont want any hassles like.. swat team raiding your door just because you didn't -at least- install emsi a few years ago.
Is this for new customers only already have Norton and my subscription is about done.
new customers...you would need something to delete all the registry entries in your computer to erase all of what Norton leaves behind, maybe something like revo uninstaller, appremover or the norton removal tool would work?
So for all the Norton/McAfee whatever users out there - why do you use it vs MS Live Security Essentials? And please don't do the "it's MS so it sucks" thing. I'm genuinely wondering what important features Live Security Essentials do not have.
Another reason is that apparently MSE is unable to cache scanned downloaded file results, such as zipped files or .exe's that remain on your desktop... so each time a file is accessed MSE has to scan it again before allowing it to execute even if the file has not changed. I believe MSE also continually scans archived files in the background as well.
Also, last time I tried MSE I was able to kill the program with the task manager, def. not a good sign.
