Not true, drives like the Chronos Deluxe and Force GT use sync NAND. You may be thinking MLC vs SLC NAND.

I bought this. Died after a month. Customer service was great about replacing it. But damn does it suck.

Tops of SSD have synchronous NAND at $1/gb.

Crucial M4, Sandisk Deluxe are the two regularly at $110 level with Synchronous nand.

Samsung's 830 uses toggle MLC NAND, which is supposedly even better than synchronous. SLC is better still, though very expensive.

The Drive in picture has Firmware 3.3.2 If you look @ the website they are @ 5.0.2
This Drive has had about 5 Firmware updates and everyone thinks these drive Manufacturers have a solid product??
3.3.2 August 2011 to 5.0.2 current. Almost like Nvidia and Ati Drivers!

Chronos deluxe uses toggle nand. Was deciding between the Samsung 830 and Chronos Deluxe but then saw the Chronos Deluxe 240GB for 200 so that was too hard to resist.

Sandisk Extreme is also 24nm Toggle Nand (Sandisk proprietary)

Samsung 830 uses 27nm Toggle Nand (Samsung produced, also sold to other SSD manufacturers)

Whenever I hear about a product that works for the vast majority of people, but one person had to get 4 different replacements to get it working, and that product requires some technological skill to use, I conclude it's user error.

SSDs are tricky to setup, sometimes. I have a friend who does IT support and runs networks for businesses, and even he had a hiccup or two setting up his first SSD, but he's since installed half a dozen without a hitch. Protip: a little research goes a long way.

Edit: I'm sorry if I came off rudely there about it being user error, but when the majority of SSD manufacturers have failure rates of about 1%, and the worst of them (OCZ, at least for a year or two) have failure rates of 3-4%, the likelihood of having 4 consecutive product failures is approximately... impossible.

2.5" to 3.5" Adapter Included. That's nice. Thinking about getting one and putting it in my Dell Inspiron 620 slim (will it fit OK). Just installed the Sandisk Extreme 120GB in my laptop last night and am very impressed. But...should I wait for a better deal?

How does the Sandisk Extreme and this one compare?

Crucial M4 or Mushkin Enhanced Chronos?
