For those that like flavored coffee:

Found an 18-pack of Pumpkin Spice flavor at Kohls with a Best By date of 4/30/12. I brought it up to the cashier and it scanned to ~$9 as a sale price. I mentioned it was close to "going bad" (even though K-cups are fine a bit past date) and she gave it to me for $4.00.

She said if I was buying several she'd probably get the manager, but for one box she said it was fine. Just thought I'd mention this in case it helps others, since I imagine the Pumpkin Spice in other stores is probably dated similarly. Of course YMMV but the lesson is it's always worth asking! Good luck.

I cant give them away either. We still have a bunch of the holiday eggnog/pumpkin/etc. kicking around. Okay once or twice and then nobody would take them. I even tried palming it off on the neighborhood kids by adding a bunch of cream and sugar. One sip, thats enough.

So make sure you try one before you buy 24 of them. We've tried about 100 k-cups and liked most of them, but these smell a lot better than they taste.

$16/lb. for stale Green Mountain is not a good deal. Maybe in Kcup world it is, I guess. For $14 you could order some good coffee from a roaster and then pay shipping on that. You can then water it down to your liking instead of having the Kcups choose your portion of coffee.

Quite the opposite. My opinion is mighty and solid! Strong like bull. K-cups are weak, over-hyped, and consumed by uninformed housewives and cubicle dwellers who don't realize they are being duped because of their affinity for being as lazy as possible. Some of them are $130 and all it does is not-so-accurate volumetric water boiling with terrible temperatures outside of industry standards. But hey pods are cute and it's shiny! Everyone else got one!
