Anyhow, I do not personally buy anything big without a slickdeal. Even if it is as simple as buying something from lowes and using a movers coupon. But before I purchase, I check on here for the same product elsewhere, cheaper, or a deal on it.

Bingo! I am forever pushing slickdeals and have made it 100% habit to check SD, then (if possible) buy online discounted giftcard e-codes (using the same Carnival Cruises Mastercard to buy the electronic GC's to earn those points) - I check for all available online cpn codes - then I use a click through site to link to the retail site - then use as many online coupons possible (its always on sale/clearance). I literally squeeze every penny from every large deal I do. I also have the same CC attached to pay normal monthly bills routinely. Of course we pay the balance each month. This in turn builds up massive credits which we trade in on average every 18 months for huge credits off our next cruise

We haven't paid full price for a movie ticket or any dinner we've eaten out in 4 years (since I found and started being an avid SD'er)

There's no other way to go IMO....why someone would pay full price for anything astounds me lol. Hell...I won't pay my monthly bills without getting something in return lol!
