I agree about Amazon since currently it is $189 [amazon.com] with free shipping and no tax. Better deal to be had there.

What I'm waiting for is a deal on the DS112....

Of course a 5-disk setup is better, but you're also talking a huge jump in price. Synology's 5-bay NAS is the DS1511+ and it costs around $1,100.

They make a 4-bay, which is what I really hope to get some day. It supports a RAID 5 setup. No USB 3.0 though.
