The USB only plays music and shows images ( mp3 and jpg) though i think my kid would love it. She may wanna play with it though....

Can't tell if the novelty adds value or takes it away from this tv. My daughter's got kind of a zebra theme to her room but this would be a little over the top I think, right?

That's what the animal's feet are for... I think. Hopefully they put some reinforcing material in there and it's not just fluff.

My friend's daughter has the polar bear, the polar bear television does stand on it's own, using the legs as the stand. There is no reinforced stand of any kind behind the animal. The polar bear can actually be detached with a few screws, much like you can remove the frame of a laptop computer. Overall, the television is well liked. The sound is crappy for an HDTV but the picture quality is superb for a non name brand television shaped like an animal no less. The remote control is great for a child's bedroom because it is a universal remote control and can be used to control a DVD player and other components that might be attached to the television. The sound is the weak link, when you watch something, it often sounds "garbled" unless you are watching something with very clear sound (Disney seems to have the clearest sound). Horror movies sound really strange on this television, the breathing sounds like crackling, really weird sound configuration.
