This is a Re-branded Asus WL-330ge_m bridge kit. [amazon.com]
Looks like a cheap way to add wireless G to anything that has an Ethernet input. It only comes with 1 power supply, for the transmitter...at the receiver end they give you a USB to power converter cable...if you have any USB charger sitting around that should work. Sadly, sold out/deal dead.
My 2 sets showed up today. EASILY Hacked into a set of two WL-330GE 4 in 1 travel routers. [asus.com] The directions for doing it are at the text link below, but I found it easier to download the firmware update utility "tftp2.exe" rather than mess with command prompts. These can act as Gateways, Access Points, Wireless Adapters, or Repeaters, and that is all with the Asus Firmware. They are Tiny! May try DD-Wrt on my 2nd set. Thanks OP! Lots of fun for $10 each. |
