OBi110 VoIP Telephone Adapter and Voice Service Bridge was $45 FSSS now $43.82

Great deal, but not the lowest price yet. It was $43.49 on Amazon when I bought it in Dec 2011.

Yeah, it reminds me of the stock market. Prices fluctuate pretty badly. Shouldn't have bought at $44.99, shoulda known it would be $43.82!

I'm already down $1.17 in 3 days! Actually $2.34 because I bought 2 shares!

It was worth it to get it a few days early. Gives me time to test it out and set everything up long before Mother's Day.

Just realized, that probably means the Obi110 is going to be discontinued soon. I believe the 110 is older than the 100. The 100 will probably be the bare bones model at $45. It will give the new Obi202 model more of a seling feature to have integration with current telephone line, 2 port router, fax, etc. for $30 more.

I bet no one's buying the Obi202 model because all it essentially adds is a router piece on top of the 110 model, when most people already have wireless routers in their households. The Obi110 is probably holding the 202 sales back, but there are probably so many that they can sell them for another good year or so before they liquidate them for cheap.

Got mine today. Set it up in less than 30 min. Worked as expected with Google Voice. Surprised at the small size of the thing - like a pack of cards. Phone calls are indistinguishable from regular land line. Next up: port landline # to cheap Walmart mobile, port mobile # to Google Voice. Not looking forward to dealing with AT&T, since I will still use them for DSL.

The Obi110 looks mammoth next to the Obi100. Not sure why adding a line port would make it 3x bigger. But then again, the Obi100 came after the Obi110 I think...so they must've found a way to shrink it.

Can this device be activated in US and later used overseas to make free calls to US? Similar to magicjack?
