Any idea what wireless protocol this uses? It sounds like there is a dongle you plug into the wiimote, but I'm curious if this uses bluetooth to communicate.

Edit: I should mention that I was curious about using this not just for Wii but with PC and Android too. I couldn't find any specs, so I'm wondering if it uses some proprietary thing, although a lot of reviews mention pairing, etc.

Didn't get the last controller deal for $10 bc it didn't have the nunchuk. Now they have the nunchuk deal and I can't get it bc I didn't get the controllers...

I think you can use this with a regular Wii-mote. It sounds like it has a dongle you plug in.

Why can't you just buy the nunchuck? It has a connector to the regular Wii controllers?

You can, but I already have OEM nunchuks for my current controllers.

The Wii isn't setup to receive communication directly from the nunchck, nor was it designed to be used alone. All the data is routed from the chuck to the wiimote where it is then sent to the Wii via bluetooth. The dongle attaches to the wiimote with its proprietary plug, same one used in the official wired chuck. I'm certain it uses proprietary RF between the chuck and dongle.

I'm pretty sure you can use this with the PC just as you would a normal chuck. You still need a wiimote and the proper drivers.
