Good deal and I too won't get it because of the battery. Same with the black and decker flex.
YMMV deals are never available in my area!

I have one of these and yeah the battery will last maybe a full 4-5 minutes after a full charge so keep that charging cord handy, but overall its a really nice hand-vac.

Awesome... I just got the DC35 from BB and my wife hates the long handle. Will try this one now.
BTW - The latest DC34 and DC35 suck real good (in a good sense  ) As for the battery - I went through multiple portable vacs and none of them were able to keep the charge for longer than 6 minutes (despite manufacturer's claims). This one has replaceable battery which is fairly inexpensive so no brainer here.

This looks like a YMMV thing. If you navigate to Appliances | Vacuums | Dyson, and then choose the Sears Only button, you will see the 20% off prices. If you hit the 'Ship' or 'Store Pickup', some are showing the regular price, others are showing the discounted price. The DC34 is showing $140.79 with 2 in stock at my local Sears, but I still can't add it to the cart.
You may want to print it out and take it to your local store if you are looking for a Dyson. Or to another retailer that will price match.
