@ 40 quart stainless steel pot

I've run 4-5 batches through my $40 (w/free shipping) 40QT aluminum brewpot from Amazon (Winware, I think) - I love it - cheap and no off flavors.

I was on the fence too about aluminum but after reading up on various forums I was convinced that so long as you didn't use an oxygen based cleaner on the pot you were fine and that the off flavors/Alzheimers thing was a myth.. Yeah, it's not as cool looking as SS, but with the $ saved I was able to pick up a turkey fryer burner (so much faster than with the cooktop.)

I didn't think I was going to need a lid either, but I ended up getting one (to speed up heating strike/sparge water) - it's also handy to put over most of the pot to help keep nasties out while the wort chiller is in there.
