Is there any coupon codes for sears other than the 5 off 50?

When would that many sockets ever be useful? There must be a dozen of each size.

surprised though that it does not include 34mm
And it's overloaded with 12 points.

i picked up this set just last month for $284+tax... it's still in the box. i'm tempted to buy this one and return the other. the return policy is 90 days.

This is a great set. Was around $300 a while back and even that was a good price.

My suggestion to any of you needing something to sweetin this deal.
You could find something that's $50.01 or more and then go thru the Visa or MasterCard $35off300 link to essentialy get something around $50 for only 15 bucks.
OR you can see it this way...just to make it applicable to any addt'l item, you'll get it for $30 less because in your mind that other $5 savings went to using the $5off50 coupon on the original item, the $250-5 socket set.

damn don't need this at the moment, but really want it, even though I have a ton of tools in my garage... wife would kill me if I bought this for $250 since I already spent $700 on the 55" Panasonic Plasma at Target when we already have a 42", 50", & 65" tv...

is there anything like this but in Metric only for half the price since it has half the pieces? We own german and japanese cars and even with my existing sets (256 pc, 101 piece, and have bought some socket odds and ends I needed like 32mm and 36mm for cv half-shaft to hub but on Honda/Acura's) I've only used the metric sockets, ratcheting wrenches, and box end/combination wrenches.

Is this the set that is both laser etched and stamped? I know the laser etching can fade over time with use. Looking at the picture on the website, it appears that they are only laser etched.

i'm gonna tempt you... LOL... 'cause I only have german and japanese import cars too... but i find myself using SAE size tools for non-car related stuff like the recent garage cabinets i picked up and had to assemble or toys that require assembly often have SAE sizes. but more than "when will I use that?" is knowing I will never ask "do I have that size? and do I need to run down to the store to get it?" because this set is basically EVERY SOCKET that Craftsman/Sears makes in 1/4",3/8", and 1/2" drive. If you ever need something that isn't in this set, you're not going to be getting it from Sears, you'll probably have to special order it some place else.

it is both. Sears/Craftsman no longer make just the laser etched ones. I've heard the concern about the laser etching fading, but I've never seen them actually fade. Either way, it's not something you need to worry about as these "easy read" sockets are the "dual marked" ones.

The SEARS2012 coupon code doesn't pay off on this deal.

Me too, but I already have it all opened up and spread out into my tool box. Oh well, it was still a good deal at $285. I took a tip from the reviewers and inventoried it carefully. Good thing...the set I bought for my brother was missing the whole bag of 1/2" 6 point sockets, 14 sockets in all. Instead it came with all the those sockets in 12 point X2. My set had two sockets that were laser etched upside down, so the laser etching was on top of the stamping. Made them very hard to read. One call to the number on the parts list and all the right sockets were on my door step in a week, no questions asked. No need to return the messed up and wrong sockets.

What's the VISA link you speak of?
