How is this any worse than the front page deal from the other day? For some people, this is definitely a better option: With this set you can connect TWO remote rooms. With the FP deal, you would need to either buy two sets and waste/sell one of the adapters or buy an extra adapter separately.

Exactly my thoughts- I am moving into a rental house and as much as we love it, I hate not being able to run dedicated ethernet like I was able to do in our current place (current place had only one level and a crawl space to make it easy to run - new place is a maze to run any wire without making permanent changes to stuff).

This price is perfect considering I needed to be able to run network access to 2 separate locations on 2 different floors of the new house!

No. These are an alternative to Wi-Fi. They create a network over the electrical wiring in your house.

You can plug a wireless router into it after you have it setup. I have the 200mbps version and thats what I do, so I am sure it would work with this too.
