Hmm, they must have done a changeup. Hopefully yours will be better than the 5 setting one, which is basically doo-doo. The all metal/chrome one was better but I believe it was discontinued...must have cost too much.

When I ordered it, the store I picked showed "only 1 left", so I wasn't expecting anything. Then, I received "your item is ready" e-mail in 10 minutes. I picked it in the evening, and as reported I was given a different one which has 7 settings, beige metal housing with a red ring. Seems to be just fine for $3.

OOS for me for both in store pick up or ship.

Mine definitely has more than 9 settings, Haven't tried it yet, but looks great with lifetime warranty.

well, I went to pick mines up and its not the one in the picture. Mine looks like it has beige metal leading to the RED selectable 7 pattern nozzle.

Guess they ran out and I got a possible upgrade??

Thats the same as the first one I got a few weeks ago on this deal when it was $6.99 and it works great! I even dropped it by accident a few times on the driveway while washing the car and no problems.
The different setting allow me to hard spray the car while washing it and the softer ones to water the garden without washing out the plants.

I realize not everyone will bring it back. However, using planned obsolescence with Lifetime Warranty makes zero sense. planned obsolescence is what Apple does with it's products, or what Water Heaters have done with their quality. Water Heaters used to last 30 years. Suddenly, no one had to buy them. Therefore, we plan obsolescence after the warranty period to create a new quality standard. Since they don't need the quality, the price is cheaper. Therefore when a consumer looks at a repair vs buy situation they choose the latter. Given that you can return the product to the store and get another free, or return to the store and buy a new one. Either way you must go to the store. I realize not everyone will bring it back, but being such a small item with such a simple warranty policy and exchange it's a bit of a different situation. It's not as if there are a ton of new features added to a nozzle each year If they are teach people in design and marketing that an item like this should be built with planned obsolescence, I can completely understand why companies like Sears go bankrupt.

Even i receieved the 7 pattern one, I was gonna take it back (since i thought it was the 7 pattern plastic one without lifetime). I read the tag on it, it's craftsman, metal with insulated grip and lifetime warranty. WIll be washing my car today!

Sounds like we all got the same one after they ran out of the one posted here.

This afternoon I went to pick mine up. They brought one out, then the kid noticed I'd ordered two. He disappeared back into the store to pull another one off the shelf. When he returned with the second nozzle he also handed me a $5 off coupon for having to wait more than five minutes (I think I waited about 6.5 minutes total.)

So, $6.02 - $5 = $1.02 for two nozzles. My deal just got slicker!
