Same here. It took me over 3 years to jump in on the last gen, and that was more to get a media center and BD player.

I can't see myself dumping $600 for something that I would play even less often.

Console makers would be stupid to put out another $600+ console. They'll sacrifice component specs this time around to keep the price down.

Nah, they will just skimp on solder quality, heat sinks, fans, and overall design. Should be fine.

I was big into gaming too and then I grew up. No seriously. Job + Wife + house + cars + animals = all my time gone and I dont even have kids. I get home and I'm too tired of sitting in front of a computer all day at work to even think about turning on the tv for a video game.

I don't fark on my phone at work very much (too obvious). I did on my way home for lunch though (no worries, the Mrs. was driving). EVERY game that I played in my 1st year of ownership, I played again over a year later. The oldest game currently on my gamertag is Braid. Started and finished early (~March) 2009, minus the "Beat Super Fast" achievement. I have played it since than a couple times, but not unlocked the last achievement.

For some reason, my wife couldn't care when I told her that...

Yup. And it's not like I can't afford it - I have enough disposable income at the moment to drop that kind of cash on one, but I just plain don't want to. I have 30+ games that I still haven't finished sitting at home right now. I'll stick to those, thank you.

Anyway, this is a weird rumor. I though MS went on record saying they weren't showing Nextbox stuff at E3. I know Sony said that.

Heh... I have a friend that told me way back in early 2006 that if the Wii wasn't the last console Nintendo put out, he'd buy me the next one. Wonder if he remembers that?
