Xbox 720 Is Super Powerful, Contains 16-Core CPU

Yup. And it's not like I can't afford it - I have enough disposable income at the moment to drop that kind of cash on one, but I just plain don't want to. I have 30+ games that I still haven't finished sitting at home right now. I'll stick to those, thank you.

Why do people always say this? Am I the only one who sees a ton of room for improvement from the current gen visuals? Not just resolution or detail, but framerate, animations, and overall performance. I want to be the blown away and play a game that looks like as real and as smooth as some of the entirely CGI movies like that Final Fantasy one.

IMO the graphics of current gen are just fine. I want them to advance AI with the 720, not just the graphics.

If most people who want to play games own a 360 then what is the point of owning a Wii? Doesn't seem like you make a good argument for Nintendo in that regard and the controller reminds me of an Ipad. One of the main features of the Wii is that it is a social party system. Limiting it to 1 controller is a step backwards. I really think Nintendo is lost with no clear direction on where it wants to go. The Wii U will be a total disaster for anyone who wants to play 3rd party games for a 4th generation. They've had no 3rd party support all the way back from N64, Gamecube, Wii, and now the Wii U.

I like my games but I can't pay $600 for a new game console. I wait until it hits $300 or less.

Look, BC is a nice idea, but it was really blown out of proportions by the fanboys defending/attacking consoles that didn't offer it *cough PS3*

For Indie Devs, they pay M$ $99 a year for the Developer Kit.

same reason people bought 3-4 xbox 360s after their consoles RROD.

Don't forget, the old "Fat" 360 had HDD upgrades costing $150 and up.
Even the new slim originally lauched the 250GB HDD for 149.99
Also the slim 360 HDD is exactly the same as the "fat" 360 HDD, just a different case
Why didn't M$ offer their customers the case for $20 and let those who "upgrade" to the new system carry over their old HDD?
Clearly to stay competitive to the PS3 which allows people to use any HDD.

I don't think anyone was saying that Nintendo going to get killed off by the 360 and PS3. Microsoft and Sony was touting that consumers would be purchasing two systems, the Wii as one of them and either the 360 or the PS3. This next generation will be vastly different with Nintendo pricing themselves out of their market.

where MS sells xbox 4gb with kinect and xbox live for $15 a month for 2 years.. what if MS did that for the 720.. The 720 with xbox live for $20 a month for 3 years.. the 360 version comes with 2 yr warranty.. so lets say the 720 comes with 3 years. Would those on the fence about $600 price tag bite on paying it a little at a time?

I doubt media format will change, unless microsoft bites the bullet and goes with blu-ray (doubtful).

I REALLY can't imagine Microsoft NOT going with blu-ray for the next gen.
