Canon EOS Rebel T2i Body + 18-55 Lens $549 @amazon

Are you sure this is a good price ?? all those DSLR's seem to be $100.00 off all the time.
I am hunting one down, but have my eye on the Nikon D3100. Would you know how the T2i compares to the Nikon D3100?

Wish they'd offer the body only and knock off another $100.

Just bought one yesterday. Yes i think this is a good price. I have been watching these prices for months and this is the cheapest i have ever found it. you can find differences between the t2i and d3100 here: http://snapsort.com/compare/Canon...ikon_D3100, otherwise various forums have been talking about it for a long time. I went with canon because i already have other lenses and wanted to save that money. also, if you look at the prices, everyone is selling the body alone for 549. this is the body with an 18-55mm lens for the same price, 549.

yes, this is the cheapest price price on this model at amazon, ever.

This is an ok price compared to the deals offered by Frys. They were at $499.
I think the D3100 would be better as it has auto focus on video mode, plus it is a great DSLR and has good picture quality. It is on par with the T2i.

The T2i will be discontinued soon and only the T3i will be available.

The Fry's deal was hard to get and 499 was before tax. Amazon is shipped to my house in 2 days and tax free.

They are coming out with a T4i, so I would wait. These will come down

I pulled the trigger on a refurb t3i,got it for $507shipped..... Wonder if this a better deal

True about taxes, if you live in one of the states that Frys stores is located. Otherwise no tax.
Frys ship the cameras w/o tax and free shipping if you live in a state other than the frys stores. However, the T2i stock is unavailable in frys for online purchase as of today.
Amz has stock available but they are rarely on sale.
Already this deal has expired and the price is now $649

Are you talking about a T3 or a T3i? I have never seen a T3i refurb for such a low price.
